  1. Where is the theater?
The Nightingale is located at 1416 East Fourth Street, just East of Peoria on Fourth Street.
  2. Do you accept credit cards or have online ticketing?
Nope, we're not that fancy. Cash, check, barters, pocket lint... Admission is collected at the door, and house typically opens thirty minutes prior to a performance.
  3. Who are you? How long have you been here?
We're simply a band of merry artists who happen to own a building and love theatre. We've been performing as an organized 501(c)3 troupe since 1995 and opened the Nightingale in 2000. If you're interested in the long answer, click the "About Us" link above.s

"One Man's As Good As Another" wins TATE Award!

Oh yeah. The Midwestern Theater Troupe's original production, directed by Sara Cruncleton, wins second place for Outstanding Production from the first annual Tulsa Awards for Theatre Excellence. We're (pretty darned close to) number one!

Congrats to Theatre Tulsa and their production of "Up the Down Staircase," which took first place, American Theatre Company's "A Picasso," winning third, and Clark Theatre's "The Sound of Music," winning Outstanding Youth Production.

A special thanks to the George Kaiser Family Foundation and the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa for making this happen.

Absolutely

Thanks to Mister and Missus Everytulsan for voting us Absolute Best of Tulsa year after year, proving once again that Tulsa does support independent theater.

According to the Urban Tulsa Weekly:

"This theater and company of actors host and perform the edgiest theatre in Tulsa. You won’t see anything like it anywhere else in town, promise."

Hot, hot, hot

The Nightingale seems to always work her way on to the Urban Tulsa Hot 100 list... "Preferring art over money, these groups are consistently producing edgy, ground-breaking material"
